Use Keyword-Heavy Filenames and Phrases
If you have already created separate pages for your website optimized for specific keywords and phrases, you are one step closer to your goal. In addition to this, it is always a great idea to name your files using the keywords that page is optimized for.
For example, if you were to create a web page for a battery operated toothbrush, don’t use the product’s SKU as its filename. A much better filename is “battery-operated-toothbrush.html” or something more specific. Make sure that these words appear in the file. Note that if you are using a content management system that automatically names your filenames, you may not have to worry about this.
Satellite sites are great as long as you do not abuse them. For example, do not simply redirect them to your main page. The point of having a satellite site is so that you can capture keywords and phrases that are important to that site without watering it down with other important keywords — those can reside in your main site, or their own individual satellite sites.
